Tomorrow is Election Day. It's not a presidential election which means that turnout will probably be under 40%. Unfortunately, I bet that the over 60% of people who don't show up will still run their mouths about our government. Ugh. We might have more representative government if people would exercise their right and vote.
Anyhow, I strongly encourage you to go to the polls tomorrow and let your voice be heard. (Unless, of course, you plan to vote Republican!)

Clearly, it's not Northup. I hope she loses, but I don't see it happening.
I'm getting up at 5:30 to vote. the 6am poll opening works best for my schedule. I get to vote in the old firehouse on Preston that we used to visit when we were kids.
I tried to convince my students to vote. They didn't seem that motivated.
I went down a little after 7 (the time our polls opened) this morning and had to wait almost an hour. It was cold standing in line, but I can now proudly sport my "I Voted" sticker, knowing that I truly earned it.
There were no stickers at my polling location. I kind of looked around for them for a bit, but then i think the people got suspicious of me. So I meandered on out.
I really wanted a sticker because I wanted to wear it to class. I even left my hoodie at home today, so my sticker would show. Alas, no sticker.
I had a student today ask me where he could go to vote. I tried to explain to him how he could get that information on the state's webpage, but at that point, I think he lost all motivation.
I didn't vote. I'm a horrible person. I'll go cry now.
If Kentucky didn't make it nearly impossible to apply for an absentee ballot then I would have voted. But you try finding out how to get an absentee ballot and then you'll decide its not worth your time.
I voted on my way home from school today and was #406. I don't think that is too good for our precinct. I didn't have to wait at all. I didn't get a sticker either. You would think with all the money they spend on campaigns they could buy some stickers.
Your Republican cousin here (with a Democratic husband)! Voted today at 11:00 and was #312. Great turnout! Laura voted at noon at was like #600 and then Michael voted at 1 and was like 1300. Great turnout for KY!
I need to show you the letter from one of our Lynnview mayoral candidates about the other candidate. Lots of libelous statements - like she's a raging alcoholic and her son is a thief. Anyone who wants a copy - just give me a fax #. It's funny!
P.S. I voted for Democrats today. Such a rebel! Also no stickers! Damn!
